Seva Kendra Arunachal East Provides Flood Relief to 260 Families





On June 9, 2025, the Seva Kendra Arunachal East , the social service wing of the Diocese of Miao , conducted a flood relief distribution operation across three villages: Dharmpur I, Dharmpur II, and Dharmpur III.

A total of 260 families, severely impacted by recent flooding, received essential ration kits designed to improve their immediate hardship.This timely intervention shows the spirit of compassion and practical assistance that lies at the heart of humanitarian efforts. The distribution provided much-needed sustenance to families facing displacement and economic disruption, offering a beacon of hope in challenging times.

" We were struggling to even put food on the table after the floods destroyed everything ," shared a tearful mother from Dharmpur III. Mr. Shanti Mohan the village chief of Dharmpur II stated “These kits are a true blessing. We are so thankful to Seva Kendra." 

Mr. Barun Kumar, the Chief of Dharmpur I said, "The people of our villages are deeply grateful for this assistance. Seva Kendra Arunachal East has shown us true kindness when we needed it most. This support gives our families strength to rebuild ." "Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed."
