Sr. Heena Christina Bo from Wagun Ponthai makes her First Religious Profession

Miao, 31 May 2025: In a moment of great pride and spiritual joy, Sr. Christina made her First Profession on May 24, 2025, at the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) in Nashik, Maharashtra, under the Mumbai Province. She now becomes the second Religious Sister from her small native village of Wagun Ponthai, under Rajanagar Parish in Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh.

Daughter of Mr. Kulun Bo and Mrs. Homsa Bo, Sr. Christina is the third of four siblings—two boys and two girls. Her faith journey began in 2021 when she joined the FMA Congregation. She completed her initial formation—Aspirancy and Postulancy—in Maligaon, Guwahati, and then undertook her Novitiate in Nashik.

Before entering religious life, Sr. Christina worked as a private school teacher in Gaya, Bihar, for five years. “Later, deep within my heart, I got the wonderful call from God and I am very grateful for the vocation I have received,” she shared. “My parents were initially opposed to the decision I made, but now I feel they are very much happy for what I am today. I am also grateful to God for the blessings I have received from Him and I fully trust in His grace and providence.”

Her profession marks not only a personal milestone but also a significant spiritual achievement for her village community, which now proudly celebrates its second daughter embracing religious life.

Heartfelt congratulations and blessings to Sr. Heena Christina Bo on her First Profession and her courageous response to God’s call. May her example inspire many young people around Miao Diocese.
