Homroy, October 4: A moment of great joy and faith filled the air at Homroy village under Tissa Parish as the beautifully constructed St. Mary’s Catholic Church was blessed and inaugurated on October 4, 2025. The solemn blessing ceremony was presided over by Most Rev. Dr. George Pallipparambil SDB, Bishop of Miao Diocese.

The celebration began with a solemn blessing and dedication of the new church building, followed by a thanksgiving Holy Mass attended by a large gathering of faithful from Homroy and nearby villages. The newly built church, with its elegant structure and serene surroundings, stands as a symbol of faith, unity, and the growing Christian community in the region.

In his homily, Bishop George expressed his joy at the completion of the church and commended the faith, generosity, and hard work of the local community in making the dream of a new church a reality. He encouraged the faithful to make the church not just a building, but a living house of prayer and communion.

The event concluded with a fellowship meal, marking a historic and faith-filled day for the Catholic community of Homroy.
